Welcome to day 4 of our Week of Comfort blog event! Today we have an amazing recipe that is the perfect anytime meal, we are making a Smoked Meat Grilled Cheese!
Let's take a look at what you will need!
- 2 Large Slices of Rye Bread
- Your choice of cheese (We used a shredded cheese mixture of Cheddar and Mozzarella)
- 1 package of Sliced Smoked Meat (Available Here!)
- Butter or Margarine
Let's begin by buttering one side of each of your slices of Rye Bread. Then get out a medium sized, non-stick pan and begin building your sandwich.
First, place your first slice of Rye Bread butter side down, onto your pan. Then, take your choice of cheese and place this on top of your first slice of bread.
Next up, take your Smoked Meat and place as much as you desire on top of your cheese. Now, you can put mustard on top of your smoked meat in order to blur the lines between a grilled cheese and a classic smoked meat sandwich but this is completely optional.
Finally, place your top piece of bread on top of everything with the butter side facing you. You are going to want to cook this on MEDIUM heat so as to not burn your bread while waiting for your cheese to melt and for your Smoked Meat to warm up as well.
As always, let us know if you enjoyed this meal idea and if you made any changes to the recipe so that we can try it out for ourselves! We hope you have had a very comfortable week so far and do not forget to join us tomorrow for our final post of the Week of Comfort event!
