Let’s talk Smoked Meat, or rather, smoked brisket to some. Your mouth is already watering, isn't it? We know, we love it too.

For tonight’s supper, we will be slicing up some smoked meat and warming it up on the grill. Add a quick summer salad and you have an easy, delicious, and stress-free meal.

To keep things completely relaxed, we will also be whipping up some Manhattans.

What? You have never tried a Manhattan?

It is a delectable combination in which Canadian Whiskey, truly shines. Feeling adventurous? Shake this up and enjoy with your smoke meat.

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup (60 ml) Canadian whiskey

2 tablespoons (30 ml) red vermouth

1 teaspoon (5 ml) maraschino cherry syrup

2 drops bitters (optional)

a few ice cubes

1 maraschino cherry


1 long piece orange zest

PREPARATION

  • In a shaker (or jar), combine all of the liquid ingredients.

  • Shake a few times and strain into a chilled glass.

  • Garnish with the cherry and orange zest.
